Miles Mountain MX (7/17/11)

Had some friends, and my brother Liam racing at the event. And of course I love shooting MX events. Heres a few of the shots from today....

Syracuse Nationals 2011

What an awesome event! This was my first time going, even though I've heard of friends going up for years. A fellow photographer and friend, RJ, decided to join me and we made a day trip out of it. Needless to say, the some 8000+ cars in attendance was more then enough content to shoot. I didn't walk out of there with a few shots that I really liked. Plenty more 'typical' car show shots as well. Here is just a few that came out a little more 'artistic' then the others...

Skyview Drag Races

Made a trip to Skyview Drag Strip friday night. First time shooting up there, and I would definitely have to say I need practice. It didn't help that it was dusk by the time I got there.

Sun flare?

I've never purposely tried to get sunflare in a photo, but I stumbled on this shot I took a couple months ago. It's nothing crazy, but I think that bit of flare adds a cool touch...the reflections of the people at the car show are pretty cool as well.

Kylie's Graduation

Since Kylie's prom pictures turned out so well, I was asked to get some photos of her graduation. We had a nice little get together at our grandparents just before the graduation ceremonies. 'Picture Time' was rushed a little bit, so the composure isn't the best, but overall they came out good!

Pennsylvania Grand Canyon

Six motorcycles, including me made a trip to the Pennsylvania Grand Canyon. The ride down is nice, but its one of those places that you really need to see a couple times in your lifetime and that is it. I wished I had a longer lens to grab some photos of the hawks soaring around the 'canyon'. I did take a few photos of the trip including a panoramic shot of the scenery.

REEL STORIES Fishing

Had the opportunity to go out a friends boat that was all rigged up for some serious fishing. The fishing part didn't turn out so good, got a couple landlock's, but I got a few decent shots from our trip.

And a quick chop I did, to help him promote his future Charter business if he so chooses...

Prom Pictures?

On occasion I take a step out of my norm, and the result was these great Prom pictures of my younger sister Kylie!

Swartwood Hill Shoot

Like yesterday, we chose to head back to Swartwood Hill to get more photos. To those of you that don't know, Swartwood Hill is like sportbike HEAVEN. Very twisty, nice pavement, and no cop troubles.

If you haven't picked up on it, I am fascinated with photographing sportbikes. Whether it's just leaning the bike to its limits, lifting the front end, burning out, or just parked by some great scenery. The sharp lines of a sportbike make an excellent photo subject.

Oh yeah, and I can't forget about the one picture I took of my bike...

Memorial Day Cruise

Took the harley out with my camera slung around my body and stopped for some shots at a few different spots.
